  • “Advanced Fiber Materials" has been included in SCIE Data Base!

    Recently, the English academic journal Advanced Fiber Materials of Donghua University has been included in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), which marks significant progress after being included by another important international database, such as ESCI and CAS. The global influence of Advanced Fiber Materials is rocketing, presenting the development of the journal has stepped into a new chapter.


    Proof of Inclusion


    Advanced Fiber Materials was initiated by the State Key Laboratory of Fiber Material Modification (Donghua University), co-sponsored by Donghua University and the Chinese Materials Research Society. The papers published on Springer Nature include original research, review articles, forward-looking bulletins, opinions, news, and highlights. The journal has been committed to building an academic journal with international influence to meet major national needs and the development of the frontiers of fiber discipline. It aimed to create an academic exchange platform for scientific researchers, leading the development of the frontiers of fiber discipline, and served for the country's economic growth and industrial development in the way of publishing new concepts, theories, methods, ideas, technology and achievements in the fiber fields.


    The journal's editor-in-chief is Professor Zhu Meifang, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Fiber Material Modification, and Dean of the College of Materials Science and Engineering. The journal's editorial board is composed of 19 academicians at home and abroad, with 32 world-leading scientists, outstanding scholars and experts in various areas.


    Since its official founding in 2019, the journal has published 16 issues, with a total of 110 articles published, and has received strong support from the editorial board, experts, scholars, authors, and readers. As of December 1, 2021, it has been downloaded more than 100,000 times and cited more than 680 times. In September 2021, Advanced Fiber Materials was selected as a High Starting Point New Publication Project of the "China STEM Journal Excellence Action Plan," organized by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, the National Press and Publication Administration, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.


    Advanced Fiber Materials filled the gaps in high-level and transformative fiber frontier journals at home and abroad. At the same time, it built a bridge for China's outstanding scientific and technological achievements in the fiber field to go global, providing more talents and scientific support for the development of the fiber field in the country and world.
